Welcome to Pagham Technologies Ltd.
Who are you and what do you do?
We are company based in West Sussex, who specialise in providing Assistive and
Adaptive Technologies. This means we take ‘normal’ computers and laptops
(usually Dell machines) and add special hardware and software to meet the
needs of our disabled clients. Most of our work is with Access Centres and
Universities and we support students throughout their studies. We are also
members of the DfES Service Level Agreement; this means that we are audited
to make sure we meet certain standards (more information is available on
request).
I am a disabled student how can you help me?
You should have been assessed for a Disabled Students Allowance; more details
are available on the DSA page. If your funding body has approved your allowance
they will have written to you telling you either; a) that you must contact us to
place your order, in which case please do so! Under the guidelines we cannot
approach you unless your funding body specifically tells us to do so and we
will be unaware that you are ready to order. b) that they have placed an order
with us on your behalf, in which case we will contact you shortly, but you are
welcome to contact us with any questions you may have. If it has been more than
3 days since the order was placed it may be that we were given incorrect contact
details (an old address and no contact number is not unusual) so please do chase
us. or c) that they have placed the order with another supplier, in which case
we are sorry but we cannot help you! If you have lost the details of the other
supplier, your funding body will be able to assist you.
I am an assessor, how can you help me?
We can provide quotations via our online system, or you can call / fax / e-mail
the information to us and we will provide personalised replies in your favoured
format. If you would like advice or information to assist with a particular
assessment we are happy to help. We can provide free product updates, technical
information and training. If you need to evaluate products we can usually arrange
for demonstration equipment to be supplied.
I'm a finance officer for funding body, how can you help?
We can supply quotations to all funding bodies, if you already have a quote from
another supplier and would like a comparison please call / fax / e-mail us with
the details. Alternatively you can use our on-line quotation system, please call
the office for the password. We also provide free information and advice about
the products we offer, so if your team would like to know more about the equipment
supplied under the DSA we can arrange free training.
I am disabled but I'm not a student, can you help me?
Yes. We are happy to provide free information and advice, and can inform you about
funding possibilities related to work and home. If you are working we can liaise
with your employer to explain the various tax breaks, allowances, and laws
relatingto supporting you in the workplace. If you are looking to return to
work / start a new position your employer may get nearly all the equipment paid
for, and we can let you know about this too. Unfortunately if you neither work, nor
study, and do not qualify for any allowances we would have to charge you for any
products supplied, however advice is still free!
What a geographical area do you cover?
We provide on-site support in South East England primarily within a 60 mile
radius of Chichester where we are based; i.e. from Bournemouth, up to Swindon,
Oxford, across to London and all of Kent. Due to the practicalities of getting
our engineers to you, and back, in a reasonable timeframe we have decided that
extending this is impractical. Return-to-Base support is available for the whole
of the UK mainland, however you need to consider whether this is suitable for
you. If you need on-site support in another area we can provide details of other
reputable suppliers who may be able to help.
